Glans penis enhancement is an important component of penis enlargement surgery to help maintain symmetry of the glans penis and penis shaft following widening with Alloderm™. Our preferred technique for glanular enhancement is the use of hyaluronic-acid gel which is injected over the entire glans penis.

The procedure was originated in Korea and has been performed for several years with excellent results. We were the first center to perform this technique in the United States after the product was approved by the FDA in 2004. The hyaluronic-acid gel is injected through a small 30 gauge needle and can usually be performed with local anesthesia. The procedure takes about 1 hour. The typical gain is 20% in circumference. The results are not permanent and can only be expected to last 12-18 months.
