ABOUT OUR DR. ROSENTHAL Dr.
Brian Rosenthal, a pioneer in the field of phalloplasty, has been practicing in
the Los Angeles area since 1989. His medical education includes undergraduate
studies at Duke University where he graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa.
His education continued at Vanderbilt Medical School.
He then went on to complete his residency at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago
with a combined program of both general surgery and urology. He began his Los
Angeles practice as an attending staff urologist at Kaiser Permanente. Here he
performed a wide variety of genitourinary procedures. In 1995 he opened a private
practice specializing in the fields of sexual dysfunction, phalloplasty, and male
infertility. Here, at his fully-equipped and accredited outpatient surgery center
located in the heart of Beverly Hills, Dr. Rosenthal offers the latest state-of-the-art
techniques for penis enhancement. Being one of the first physicians to
perform penis girth enhancement using Alloderm dermal-matrix grafts, Dr.
Rosenthal now has one of the largest experiences to date. Recently, he was the
first U.S. physician to perform penis glanular enlargement using injectable hyaluronic
acid gel material. He has presented the results of his procedures annually at
the American Academy of Phalloplasty Surgeons' meetings where he currently serves
on the Board of Directors. As a urologist, Dr. Rosenthal's primary areas
of interest and expertise are the male genital system, treatment of male sexual
dysfunction, genital surgery, and prosthetic surgery. Genital surgery includes
surgical treatment procedures for penis widening, penis lengthening, glanular
enhancement, and penis curvature correction. Prosthetic surgery utilizes internally
placed devices such as penis prosthesis to correct impotence and testicular prosthesis
for an absent testis. Male sexual dysfunction includes: problems with erections,
desire, and ejaculation.
